If something goes wrong when it comes to your date, you’ve got to be able to salvage it. Otherwise, you’re leaving your girl high and dry–and you’re missing out on an opportunity.
You’ve got to know how to fix it.
Having dating backup plans is really the smart thing to do. Rain checks are inevitable at some point, but you don’t need to let them spoil your plans at every opportunity.
Being able to think on your feet and come up with a backup is all well and good, but it’s also just smart to have something else planned if your previous ideas fall through.
Whatever you do, getting frustrated about your plans just not quite working out is never the way to go. You’ve got to keep a level head, or your date’s not going to be impressed.
Dating Issues Can Happen, and Your Plans Can Get Rained Out. Here’s How to Not Let it Get You Down.
First of all, it’s important that you always keep your cool when it comes to this sort of thing. If you end up getting upset, it’s not going to really create a great impression.
It’s best to just laugh off inclement weather, or crack a joke when it comes to mishaps with dinner reservations. Being easy going is going to impress a lot more than rage.
The only thing worse than spoiled plans is seeing how much that they can get to you. She’s not going to be happy with you if you throw a fit like a five year old in the restaurant.
Think about backup plans.
If something goes wrong, you should be already thinking on your feet about a backup plan. If you’re really smart, you’ve already thought this through, and have something in mind.
This is obvious when it comes to outdoor activities, of course. If there’s a chance of rain, you should already be thinking about what you could do if it does indeed rain you out.
It’s just as important with movies and dinner dates, however. If you’ve got another plan instead your movie sells out, that’s probably the smartest thing you can do.
Either way, be chill about it.
You can always check out another amazing date location that day if something happens, or you can just…well, be chill about it. Your date is going to understand, believe it or not.
There are a ton of different ways to patch up a date that’s rained out, and nothing about patching it up means that you need to kick, scream, and get upset about all of it.
If you’re upset about it, she’s going to get upset about it. It’s going to turn to a negative downward spiral that neither of you should have to sit around and suffer through.
It’ll work out.
If you keep a positive outlook, your dates will keep going just fine. You’ll figure something out, and you’ll definitely be able to have a good time, no matter what happens.
